Making my own soap at home, facility requirements.

Dear All,

 

I am a chemical engineer with sufficient knowledge about chemistry regarding making soaps. Besides not up to date about the dutch rules if it comes to the way: making your own soap.

With my partner I am making our business plan for a home made soap business in the Netherlands (Noord Brabant).

Namely  I would like to know if this activity is allowed to do in your own home what are the requirements of the room where we are planning to make those soaps.

I saw the process and the facility requirement in another EU country, but I am very curious how is it settled in NL. 

 

Few question which are not yet clear for us:

 

The room where we make soaps needs to have access to water?

For the chemicals do I need to have a specially designed storage?

Do I have to provide specific airflow in the room? If yes which one?

 

Where can I found these specific requirement?

Regarding the website of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce about producing and/or selling cosmetic products, a NEN-EN-ISO 22716 (in English) certification is required. As this is obligated, it seems (to me) like a good idea to get that certification, because they can tell you all the requirements of the room.
