  1. Tijdens dit kennisfestival is ook informatie beschikbaar over het VISiYES project, waaraan Hogeschool INHOLLAND Delft (penvoerder) en YES!Delft deelnemen. Dit project staat open voor deelname door jonge ondernemers of zij die overwegen dat te worden. Virtual and Integrated Support for innovative Young Entrepreneurs & Start-ups VISiYES will deliver an innovative curriculum for the informal, formal & accredited Entrepreneurship education, tailored to e-tutoring, implementing for the first time Negotiated Work-Based Learning methodology within a trans-European comprehensive virtual & integrated blended e-learning environment. The curriculum for potentially high-growth innovation-led young entrepreneurs in micro-enterprises & start-ups includes all self-directed competence-driven learning components, ranging from • Entrepreneurial skills (including initial assessment/induction), • Advanced Business & Financial planning, • Collaboration management, • Competition management, • Innovation & knowledge management. The Internet based software will link users to tutors & business advisors who will guide them to acquire these new competences. Current state-of-affairs: The development & testing of new innovative e-learning content which constitutes the core activity of VISiYES is in progress and will be ready by the end of this year. This content will be highly relevant for fostering innovative entrepreneurship among young people from a cultural/ sectoral diverse background interested in driving their own business. Schedule: First period: (January - June 2008) 15 European Credits Competences: Entrepreneurial Skills (5 ects), Advanced Business- & Financial Planning (5 ects), Competition Management (5 ects) Main goal first period (learning outcomes): The entrepreneur has a plan for his company and his own development. His Personal Development Plan and his Business Plan are in balance with each other. • The mission, (point of) view, goals, strategy of the enterprise and the entrepreneur – preparation of your ultimate pitch • SWOT- analysis (strength- weakness- opportunity- threat) of the entrepreneur and the company – financial health check & follow-up (financial plan) • Marketing plan – how to brand your business Second period: (September - December 2008) 15 European Credits Competences: Collaboration Management (10 ects), Innovation & Knowledge Management (5 ects) Main goal second period (learning outcomes): The entrepreneur has a strategic, tactical and operational plan for working together within the chain, including convert the creative (wild) ideas into strategic implementation. Transnational meeting of Young Entrepreneurs in Malaga (Spain, May/June 2008) Costs Conference costs Malaga (2-days conference May/June 2008) will be paid by the project, but you have to cover your own expenses for travel (Transavia direct flight Rotterdam-Airport – Malaga v.v.) and accommodation, for which you receive a retribution from the project of € 100,--. The e-tutoring track is for free and (for students) part of your minor programme of choice. The selection criteria for recruiting young entrepreneurs. The following criteria will be used in addition to the notes mentioned in the introduction above. • Being a young entrepreneur under 35 years of age • Leading a micro-enterprise with less than 10 employees • Established & registered in the last 5 years or intending to do so in the next 2 years • Commercialising new products, processes or services deploying new knowledge/technology or re-deploying existing knowledge/technology in a new way, • Investing in innovation & growth and internationalisation (some evidence for growth potential); spotted growth potential: five~ to tenfold of current staff number • Interested in transnational sectoral clustering of relevant background Who are we looking for • To get and to keep motivated participants. • The feeling that although the other participant speaks another language and is active in another product-market combination, the other participant has the same ambitions and struggles with the same problems as him- or herself. • A mixture of experienced and less experienced participants will increase the cross fertilization between the participants. How do we select: We select on the basis of motivation, ambition, innovativeness, with an open mind for internationalisation and not to focus too much on certain industries.
