Microsoft overweegt gratis bedrijfssoftware

AMSTERDAM - Microsoft overweegt om een gratis versie uit te brengen van zijn eenvoudige kantoorsoftwarepakket. De softwaregigant beseft dat het niet achter kan blijven sinds concurrenten als Google gratis bedrijfssoftware aanbieden via het web. Dat meldt persbureau Reuters.

 

Microsoft, marktleider op het gebied van software voor privé- en zakelijk computergebruik, heeft zich lange tijd verzet tegen het gratis aanbieden van software via internet.

 

 

Microsoft zou momenteel aan het kijken zijn of het Microsoft Works als zijnde gratis kan aanbieden. Het programma zal dan wel worden voorzien van advertenties, om alsnog inkomsten te genereren. Wanneer de gratis programma's op het web verschijnen is nog niet bekend.
