This forum is called international business, and it's a public forum, it did not write "Dutch only". English is allowed here, even Chinese as long as I want. Maybe you should change your words to " Never trust any business man". it doesn't matter Chinese or Dutch or whoever. Don't tell me you have success in Chinese market without any help from a Chinese. If you can trust a Chinese, why others should not? English is not my mother tongue, I wish I could use it better. And I hope you understand Chinese, so you could easily do business in China.

If you never have experience with Chinese company, and certainly one time trip to China is not helpful. There are many way to verify a company in China, answers already mentioned few of them, and also good to get a Chinese to help you communicate with Chinese in China especially in the start point. As many people said it is big different from Europe to do business in China. Recently I got few phone calls from China, they are import products from Netherlands, and they also feel it is difficult communicate with Dutch people, they ask me to be the middleman. In your case, one tip for you, do not get exciting by the price and the layout of the sheet they sent to you at the beginning, most of them are fake, get a Chinese you trust to help you negotiate with China will make the start much easier.

Back to the first floor, I think the issue is not finding a quality control, even a quality control can be low quality. The most important thing is to find a good supplier. If I remember correctly, VAT can only deductible on the assets that you initially planned for your business activities. Referring to the calculation of VAT, normally it is very clear stated on your purchase invoice, how much is the VAT amount. In general, goods value=net amount + VAT.
