Importing food products from South America

Hello,

 

I'm researching on some ideas to start an online business to sell some food products like coffee, form South America (i.e.) in The Netherlands.

I would like to know what are the processes to import the product in The Netherlands, how to pay the import taxes, VAT and certify the product to be sold in EU/NL market. 

Which kind of company I need to have in NL to be able to have such a business?
