CE Marking & Certificate

Hello, we are considering starting a small business and they are some products that we will buy from factories in other countries (Some are wooden toys or baby clothes). We know that CE Marking is mandatory in the Netherlands, and some providers sent us some certificates, however, how can we verify that those certificates are real and valid in NL? Has anyone sell products before from factories in China? And if so, how did you verify their certificates? Are you using only local suppliers instead? We are just starting, but as this will be baby products, we want to make sure everything is up to law and quality standards. Every recommendation or advice is highly appreciate it.

You have to certify it yourself, because your are responsable for the safety of the products as importer in EU.

When they deliver you the documents in which the safety is proven, you can use that to verify if the EU safety rules are used.
