Benelux Venture Summit

On 22 February 2006, the 5th edition of the Benelux Venture Summit will take place at the KBC Head Office in Brussels. Over the past years, the Summit has established itself as a unique platform promoting a dynamic and professional image of innovative entrepreneurship and venture capital in the Benelux region to the rest of Europe.

 

This 5th edition will have 4 streams with a focus on Venture Capital, Buy-Outs, Life Sciences and ICT.

 

Again, it will allow the most promising life science and technology entrepreneurs from the Benelux region to meet and present themselves to active international investors and corporations seeking investment and partnering in the Benelux region. We will also arrange 6 individual one2one meetings with investors and corporate partners of their choice.

 

Highlights of the agenda include discussions on the future role of government in risk capital, buy-outs, corporate governance models within family owned businesses, investment models in venture capital and more.

 

In addition, the high quality of the speakers and the investor and corporate participants, and the no-nonsense set up of the Summit, not only lead to many insightful coffee break encounters, but also to concrete investment projects.

 

The General Assembly of the Belgian Venture Capital Association will be held at the Benelux Venture Summit and all in all the event will again be THE place for networking, networking and networking.

In Luxemburg is 1423 miljard euro aan investeringsgelden verzameld, zo begrijp ik uit publikaties. Op Amerika na bezit dat land de meeste en rijkste fondsen (door een aantrekkelijk belastingklimaat). Zijn die fondsen aanwezig op deze summit en zijn ze interessant voor Nederlandse starters?

Selection

Company Profile Sheets of all applicants will be screened by the Benelux Venture Summit Advisory Board in three selection rounds. Selected companies will be notified immediately. Their name, one-line business description and direct link to their website will be published on the Benelux Venture Summit website.

Mijn idee is dat dit soort conferenties heel goed zijn om te netwerken maar niet leiden tot directe contacten met VC's. Je moet met een VC sowieso langer in contact zijn voordat het echte gesprek begint. Ze willen je een tijdje hebben kunnen volgen voordat ze interesse kunnen hebben.
